Food & Material Aid
Finding it hard to make ends meet?
There are many services that provide practical support in times of need. As a general rule services don’t provide cash assistance. Instead, many services provide food parcels, food vouchers, clothing, furniture, or help paying a bill such as electricity or gas. There is also assistance available from some services for outstanding rent and urgent medical scripts, particularly if you have a health care card!
Assistance with non-essential bills such as phone is unlikely unless it is needed for medical reasons or if it’s an emergency.
