Nominations are invited for the 2012 Maroondah Australia Day Awards.
Awards will be presented in three categories:
Mail nominations to Communications & Marketing, Maroondah City Council, PO Box 156 Ringwood 3134 or deliver to one of Council's Service Centres.

Nominations close at 5:00pm on Friday 18 November 2011.
The awards for Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year recognise outstanding contributions to the Maroondah community by individuals. The contribution could be in the areas of sport; hobbies; at school, college or university; in business or trade; to the environment; personal achievement or voluntary work.
The person does not need to be a resident of Maroondah, but their contribution must be substantially to the community of Maroondah.
To be eligible for Young Citizen of the Year, the nominee must be over 16 years of age and under 26 years of age on 26 January, 2012.
The award for Community Event of the Year recognises an event which best reflects the importance of strong community values and ties.
The event must have taken place in Maroondah between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2011.
Groups may nominate their own event.
All nominees, and the person who nominated them, will be invited via a letter in December 2011 to attend the Awards Ceremony to be held at Ringwood Lake on Australia Day, Thursday 26 January 2012.
At this Ceremony all nominees will be presented with a certificate by the Mayor and the awards recipients will be announced.
The nomination forms for each category have been supplied in a choice of two formats - PDF or Word document. Please post or deliver the completed forms to Council by the due date.
