Maroondah Youth Services provides heaps of services to local young people (aged 12-25) and their families, who live, work or study in the City of Maroondah.
EV's Youth Centre is Maroondah City Council's designated youth facility. The Centre provides a range of services, programs and resources for young people and a safe space to meet up with friends.
EV's Lounge is our drop-in program at EV's Youth Centre and we are open from 3.30pm - 5.30pm Wednesday to Friday during the school term. EV's is a safe and relaxed place to meet new friends, get involved in some of the activities, have a chat with a Youth Worker or just relax. There's heaps to do and it's all free including a pool table, jukebox, free internet access with Wi-Fi and big screen video games. A monthly 'Music Lounge' also offers young performers the opportunity to practice on stage.

Approximately 12 volunteers aged 15-21 years are recruited and trained annually. Tasks include planning and staging music events at EV's Youth Centre.
Approximately 8 events are held each year, costing between $5 and $16. All events are drug, alcohol and smoke free and there are no pass-outs. These events are run as part of the State Government's FReeZA Program.
A four week self-discovery program with an anger management focus, designed specifically for young women aged 13-17. This program covers a wide range of strategies to help young women face life's challenges with self-confidence.
Is a behavioural change program for guys aged 14-17, who find that their anger is having an impact on relationships at home or school. Participants are given the opportunity to build on their strengths and develop confidence when dealing with their emotions.
An annual event held in November, showcasing local young people and Maroondah Youth Services including a youth stage and entertainment area, rides, activities and information.
An annual event held in April, which includes a range of activities that highlight and celebrate young people and their skills, talents and contributions to the local community.
Our Youth Workers are allocated to a number of local secondary schools to provide programs and services to students. Keep an eye out for them at your school.
Each year a group of young people are recruited to assist with the management of Maroondah's skate and BMX facilities. If you are interested, give us a call on 9294 5709.
A program for young people aged 12-16 years during the school holidays. Bookings are essential and costs vary depending on the day's activities . To view the program for the next school holidays click onto the Teenage Holiday Program page.
About 30 participants from local secondary schools participate in this week long program each year. It provides students in Year 10 with an opportunity to increase their confidence and learn skills that will enable them to participate more effectively in their school and community.
This is an annual event that formally recognises the valuable contribution young people make to Maroondah, through volunteering and leadership activities.
We can help you to find assistance on almost any topic including school, finding a job, family issues and getting involved in the community. Drop in at EV's Youth Centre during opening hours or give us a call on 9294 5709 to make an appointment.
