Skate & BMX
Maroondah City Council and Simply Skateboarding work together to facilitate two awesome skate programs; Skate Ambassadors and the Maroondah 3 Ply Program at our local skate parks. The 3 Ply program provides accredited training in Skateboard or BMX Coaching, First Aid and Certificate 2 in Recreation Management to trainees who have been recruited to assist us to manage and program Maroondah's skate and bmx facilities. The program also offers, mentoring and further skill development for local skate and BMX riders. Participants meet regularly to discuss ideas and give feedback from riders throughout Maroondah. Participants also plan events, clinics, workshops and demonstrations at local skate parks.
