Maroondah Youth Service Providers Network (MYSPN)

The Maroondah Youth Services Providers Network (MYSPN) is a network for youth service providers in the Maroondah area.  MYSPN provides members with opportunities to network, share information and address local needs, issues & service gaps.

To join the network, contact the MYSPN Co-ordinator (details below) or complete the online 'New Member Sign Up Form' below - membership is open to anyone who works with or for young people in the Maroondah area.

The MYSPN model includes:

1. MYSPN Email System

MYSPN has a central email account (myspn@maroondah.vic.gov.au) from which information is sent to network members on youth-related items such as programs and services, professional development opportunities and resources.

To share information about your service with network members, please email it to myspn@maroondah.vic.gov.au and it will be forwarded on to 200+ youth service providers in the Maroondah area.

2. Network Meetings

Network meetings provide attendees with opportunities for networking and information sharing, and also incorporate a professional development component by having a topic each meeting with relevant guest speakers.  Members and non-members are welcome to attend network meetings.

The Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges YSPNs are now providing combined network meetings across the Outer East.

3. No Wrong Door

The Maroondah, Knox and Yarra Ranges YSPN's now manage No Wrong Door (NWD).

NWD is an initiative supporting young people aged 10 to 25 years to find the support that they require.  Young people find it difficult to navigate the service system, and continually have to re-tell their story.  NWD is based on the premise that every door in the service system should be the right door

A great outcome of the NWD initiative is the online service directory for young people and their families in the Outer East - www.nowrongdoor.com.au.  Make sure to check this out when looking for local services and programs!

To add or update information about your service on the NWD website, simply fill in the online form on the home page.

For more information about NWD, please contact the MYSPN Co-ordinator (details below).
