Maroondah Youth Service Providers Network (MYSPN)

The Maroondah Youth Services Providers Network (MYSPN) is a network for youth service providers in the Maroondah area, and provides members with opportunities to network, share information and address local needs, issues & service gaps.

To join the network, contact the MYSPN Co-ordinator (details below) or complete the online 'New Member Sign Up Form' below - membership is open to anyone who works with or for young people in the Maroondah area.

The MYSPN model consists of three components:

MYSPN Email System

MYSPN has a central email account (myspn@maroondah.vic.gov.au) from which information is sent to network members on youth-related items such as programs and services, professional development opportunities and resources.

Network Meetings

Network meetings provide attendees with opportunities for networking and information sharing, and also incorporate a professional development component by having a topic each meeting with relevant guest speakers. Members and non-members are welcome to attend network meetings.

Network meetings are held quarterly (one per school term), on alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Local Services Bus Tour

The MYSPN Local Services Bus Tour provides an opportunity for participants to visit and familiarise themselves with youth agencies servicing the Maroondah area. Participants will receive an overview of the services offered, meet key staff, network with peers, and share information and ideas. The MYSPN Local Services Bus Tour is open to both members and non-members.

MYSPN Working Groups

MYSPN working groups are sometimes formed in response to a new or prominent youth-related issue in the Maroondah region. Currently there are two MYSPN working groups - the MYSPN Refugee Action Group and a working group on Violence & Young People.
